Management Accounting Specialization:
Program:
Students who are currently employed as management accountants or have an interest in management and cost accounting systems of business enterprises should major in Management Accounting. The degree's emphasis is on the financial accounting process and its usefulness to managers of business enterprises.
Graduates with a degree in Management Accounting meet the requirements to sit for the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) Examination. The Bachelor of Science in Management Accounting Program provides students with the skills to understand the business environment, business concepts and the accountant's ethical responsibilities and role in the business world. Students will be taught to employ accounting principles and procedures to record and present business financial results for external and internal users.

How long does it take to complete the degree program?
Students can complete the 120 credit degree program in as little as four years of full-time study.
Where and when are classes offered?
Classes are offered in the day at the Dobbs Ferry Campus. For working students night classes are conveniently offered at the White Plains and Bronx Campuses.
How many open elective credits can I transfer from another institution?
Students who pursue a BS in Management Accounting degree can transfer from 6-12 open elective credits depending on whether or not they specialize in Computer and Information Systems.
Should I select a specialization within the Management Accounting degree?
It is not necessary to specialize within the Management Accounting program. For students who want to complete focused course work in information systems, they can specialize in Computer and Information Systems.
