Civic and Cultural Studies is a hybrid division that encompasses a wide
variety of courses and majors. CCS offers major degree programs in:
In addition to its major programs, CCS offers General Education courses in:
- History
- Political Science
- Philosophy
- Religion
- Music
- Art.
CCS also oversees the Center for Digital Arts at the White Plains Campus
and the Roy Disney Studio for Animation Studies in Manhattan.
Graduates from the Division work in such fields as law; education;
business; sound engineering, web design, and animation.
The faculty are active in their varied disciplines, whether researching
and writing books and articles in history, political science, and
communication design; composing music; editing and mixing sound for film
and television; creating and producing design and animation for the
internet, film, and television; or exhibiting paintings and drawings in
galleries.
