Program:
"Current statistical projections show that the U.S. online retail market will reach $230 billion in sales by 2008. The web continues to expand as a source for online retail and functions as a fundamental tool in extending corporate presence. With this accelerated growth comes a need for a hybrid workforce with the skills to manage, employ technical and analytical strategy, and position a corporation for a successful internet business."
The Master of Science program in Internet Business Systems (IBS) develops professionals who will take their places as leaders in applying sound business principles to Internet applications. Integration and application of knowledge from business, design and computer information systems will forge the strategists of this new paradigm.
Communication and collaboration among individuals with varying backgrounds in design, technology and business will shape the future of e-business. Students will be encouraged to engage in research, collaborate, and apply current technologies.
Geared to working professionals in a variety of fields, the courses will be offered in the evening at Dobbs Ferry or entirely online -- demonstrating the versatility, flexibility and value of this technology for education and commercial enterprises.
The unique aspects of business on the Internet require a curriculum that is responsive to the business and technology needs of electronic commerce. Mercy College has implemented such a program ... continuing its tradition of success.
Students who successfully complete the six Core Courses for the Master of Science program can receive a Graduate Certificate in Internet Business Systems. For additional information - contact the Program Director at the number or address below.
