Program:
The Master of Science in Psychology program at Mercy College provides graduate education in psychology through coursework, research, supervised clinical internships, and professional colloquia. Each student's course of study is designed to extend their knowledge of psychology in general, as well as to provide specific experiences in psychology graduate education to fit their individual interests. While research is more heavily emphasized than clinical training, both opportunities exist within the program. Required coursework surveys all aspect of advanced psychological study, including theory, history, ethics, methodology and clinical practice, and prepares the student both for employment requiring psychological study as well as eventual doctoral study. The College is currently in the process of developing the opportunity for students to complete this degree online, which will be offered by Fall 2007.
