My professional
interests include using Internet activities and resources to enhance
instruction, web-based distance education, calculus reform, career
programs for women, and Pi Mu Epsilon, the national mathematics
honor society.

Published:
In recent years I have published several papers with colleagues
on a variety of aspects of distance learning, including opportunities
and challenges for faculty development, design strategies for
developing an online course, pedagogical issues and strategies
for developing a successful distance learning course in general
mathematics. Other recent publications include "Telecommunications:
Career Mentoring for a New Age" and "Using the Internet
in Mathematics Courses." Please see my list of publications

- Presentations:
Over
the last few years I have presented papers on distance learning,
using the Internet in mathematics classes, and career mentoring
programs for women at several conferences, including the 2001
Syllabus Conference, Smith Alumnae Mathematics Conference, Annual
Alliance/American Council of Education Conference on Adult Learners

National
Science Foundation Workshop Presenter: The National
Science Foundation sponsored an online workshop on "Teaching
Mathematics, Science, and Technology on the Internet: Strategies,
Resources, and Guidance" based at Mercy College in June
1999. I presented the teaching mathematics online component
of this workshop.
