"I
feel that completing my undergraduate education online through Mercy
College provided me with a strong foundation from which to excel
in graduate studies. I have recently obtained my second Master's
degree in psychology and I am currently enrolled in a clinical doctoral
program at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
Additionally, I have been teaching for Mercy College's on-line campus
since 2003 (including the Sloan Semester). I truly believe that
Mercy College's online program is designed to encourage those students
who are committed to educational excellence."

"My
name is Kati Little and I'm an international student from Finland.
I am currently finishing my thesis in Mercy College MBA graduate
program.
I
started as a freshman in the fall of 1998 and took my first distance
learning class a year later as a sophmore. Knowing very little about
the characteristics of online learning, I ended up dropping my first
two classes due to lack of discipline. As I re-registered for these
classes I had learned much about the opportunities and challengesonline
learning can offer. I realized that online learning is not a bit
less time consuming than the traditional classes, but it allowed
me to take classes around my busy schedule. If anyone is interested
in taking online classes, I will highly recommend it. This type
of learning creates unlimited opportunities, especially for international
students.
I
am no longer taking onlione classes, but I'm highly involved in
online learning community in Mercy College. For years now, I have
been working as a wizard (teacher's assistant) in these courses
and wish to continue doing so. Due to the experience I have acquired
as a student going from dropping the first classes to working witht
the teachers and students online learning, my goal is also to teach
a course after completing the required MBA degree. I want to be
able to promote online learning and help students to achieve the
goals they have set for themselves. As an international student,
I realize that the language barrier can sometimes be great but nevertheless,
in my opinion, the reward in online learning are far superior to
the challenges."

I will never forget the summer of 2003, it was the mother of all
summers. Instead of sipping a cold fruit drink by the beach, I was
bent on taking four classes and an internship that summer. Beforei
knew it, the pressure of full course load hit me so hard like a
summer heat stroke. To ease the pressure, I signed up for online
class titled Introduction to Religion. Dr. Jude Aguwa was the class
professor and his teaching technique allowed me to express my views
and also learned alot from the class. The academic experience was
a true learning opportunity for me. The class even influenced me
to switch from beig a traditional tutor to a course wizard (online
teaching assistant) at Mercy college. Now I am a course wizard in
the same class where I had my first long distance learning. It's
a good educational experience.

I had the pleasure of being a member of Mercy College's huge and
diverse community of Distance Learners. I have successfully completed
my last class on December 2003, I look back and am very proud of
my achievement. My online studies truly offered the highest level
of flexibility which helped me to pursue my degree while maintaining
my professional and social life.
Despite
the geographical distance from the campus, Mercy's staff had always
managed to provide personal assistance and a direct connection between
students and professors.
I
am currently considering studying towards my MBA at Mercy College!

My name is Sagi. From my native country, Israel, I joined the Mercy
community of Distance Learners. I took the whole online courses
learning for my B.SC degree, which I successfully completed last
fall. I am taking real pleasure in writing this testimonial in favor
of the Mercy Online Program.
Apparently, one may assume that online studies may lack the necessary
direct contact between students and professors.
Very
soon I discovered that notwithstanding the distance, the Mercy online
system is very effective providing the vital personal connections,
which, in my case, were of considerable assistance in my course
of studies. Now I am looking forward towards my MBA studies.
On this opportunity I wish also to praise the very impressive
graduation
ceremony in which I participated.
