Over the years, the men's tennis team has been one of Mercy's most successful, having posted the school's only undefeated season, and at one point running off a string of 18 straight match victories over a three year period.

Based on their performance during the season, players can qualify for an opportunity to compete in the year-end Metropolitan Tennis Association Championships. This tournament is held at the National Tennis Center in Flushing, Queens, home of the U.S. Open Tennis Championships.
