The Mercy College Center for Academic Excellence and Innovation, with Learning Centers on all four Mercy campuses, is a valuable resource to help you get ahead – whether you are a B student looking to get A’s or you are struggling to pass a particular course.
The Center provides a friendly learning environment in which to receive tutoring in writing, math and science, as well as in an extensive range of other subjects. The highly trained and courteous staff of faculty, peer tutors, and writing specialists is there to provide you with the support you need to achieve academic excellence.
To use the tutors at the Center, you may make an appointment or stop by during drop-in hours.

Our new online appointment calendar makes it easy to book an appointment in advance. Simply go to our online appointment calendar to select the day, time, and tutor that fits your needs and follow the prompts. You will receive an email confirming your appointment. Drop-in sessions are also available, so if an appointment is not available when you need it, call the campus or drop in, and the tutors will find time to work with you. If you aren’t able to come to the campus for tutoring, the Center for Academic Excellence also provides “real-time” online writing tutors. This service is available weekdays and weekends by appointment only.

Tutoring in math, science and gen ed is provided in a comfortable and dynamic small group setting. No appointment is necessary.
Dobbs Ferry Learning Center
Students are invited to use our comfortably expanded and refurbished facilities at the Dobbs Ferry campus for individual study, writing and research. Resource-rich rooms are also available for group study and private tutoring.
