Inside Dobbs Ferry Library
About Dobbs Ferry Library

The Dobbs Ferry Library was renovated in 2009 to reflect new trends in library design. The Library features several different zones, so students can choose the environment they prefer for their library work and studying needs.

The main room features an open and airy design with magnificent three-story windows overlooking the Hudson River. The main room features collaborative work tables as well as computer pods with PCs or MACs. The room is always busy with activity and conversation. Along the windows, you’ll find the library’s sunken living room area with comfy couches and club chairs, as well as our own Café.

The rest of the main floor houses the print book collection with study carrels along the walls. A gallery area in the back features soft benches and comfy chairs.  Librarian and Administrative offices are also located in the back near the Education and Curriculum Materials area.

The second floor houses the QUIET zone that features individual study carrels with desktops, PCs, and MACs for a truly silent studying area.

The Library has WI-FI throughout and has over 75 desktop PCs and MACs.  Library circulation desk also includes over 100 laptops for student use within the Library. There are 10 high-speed printers and 3 print-only stations in the library, as well as copiers and scanners.  Printing is free. For a list of the software available in the library, please visit our Tech Corner.

For assistance with your research, please visit the Research Help Desk in the middle of the main room.  For other services such as Reserve Books, Laptops and much more, please go to the Circulation Desk.

Good luck with your assignments.
