NSF Master Teacher Fellows in STEM

Overview

The Opportunities for STEM Achievement (OSA) program, funded by National Science Foundation (NSF) Scholarship Program, will award scholarships of up to $4,000 to incoming freshmen and transfer students and scholarships of up to $6,000 per year to continuing students pursuing degrees in: Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity and Mathematics.  

The program serves a population of academically talented, financially needy students who are often first-generation and largely underrepresented in these fields.

Seminars and career exploration presented by external professionals

Traditional support services including professional and peer tutoring to increase academic achievement

Assistance with career preparation for immediate entry in STEM employment or admission to graduate school

Eligibility to Apply

  • Maintain full-time student status at Mercy University 

  • Citizens of the United States, Nationals of the United States (as defined in Section 101 (a) of the Immigration and Nationality Act), aliens admitted as refugees under Section 207 of the Immigration and Nationality Act, or aliens lawfully admitted to the United States for permanent residence

  • Major in: Mathematics, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or Cybersecurity

  • Meet specific financial criteria and file a FAFSA

  • Freshmen with a minimum GPA of 3.5 or continuing students with a minimum GPA of 3.0
