Advanced Certificate Nursing Administration Advanced Certificate Program 18 Credits | School of Health and Natural Sciences
The Nursing Administration Advanced Certificate is designed to prepare the advanced practice nurse who holds a MS in Nursing degree. The advanced certificate is an 18-credit program, which consists of one core course (3-credits), four specialization courses (12-credits), and a 120-hour practicum (3-credits).
- Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university
- Official transcripts from all colleges/universities attended
- GPA of 3.0 or above
- Applicants with international education are required to have their earned credits evaluated by NACES to be comparable to United States standards.
- Copy of currently registered and unencumbered RN License
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a New York State RN license?
If you are a permanent resident of another state, have an active RN license in that state and plan to do your clinical practicum experiences in that state, you will not have to obtain a New York State RN license UNLESS your State Board of Nursing does not permit students enrolled in programs out-of-state to do their practicum in their resident state. If you are not sure, you can check with the Clinical Coordinator at Mercy College.
