Ilza Williams Scholarship

A $2,500 scholarship each school year to one student committed to pursue a career as a special education teacher. The School of Education will make a call for applications each year. Please contact Mary Ellen Hoffman at 914-674-7334 for more information.


The Linda Christoff Guglielmo Scholarship Fund

Established to honor Mercy College alumna, Linda Christof Guglielmo, the scholarship is designated to a female student having completed her freshman year (if full-time) or the equivalent number of credits (if part-time). Award is made based on a combination of financial need and academic achievement. To qualify, the recipient must have a minimum of a B average with no grade less than a C. Recipient must maintain those academic standards for each academic year in order to qualify for grant continuance. The general intent of the award is to support those who will pursue a career in education.


The Beth Ann Farkas Scholarship

The applicant must be currently enrolled int he Early Childhood, Childhood and/or Special Education graduate degree program. The scholarship award includes a full year membership in the Westchester Association of Education for Young Children. Please send a completed Private & Endowed Scholarship Application Form (found on Mercy Connect), a detailed essay describing you personal goals, academic achievements, community activities and financial need and a letter of recommendation from a faculty member, advisor or your Enrollment Services counselor to Dr. Elena Nitecki, Chair of the Early Childhood/Childhood department.
