Applying to Mercy University

Applying to Mercy University

STEP 1 | Submit your Mercy University Application!

Students are able to apply at: www.mercy.edu/apply-now

STEP 2 | High School Transcripts

Students must submit a high school transcript for their application to be reviewed. We will accept either an unofficial or official transcript. Students are able to upload these transcripts through our student portal.

An official final high school transcript (provided by the high school to Mercy University), which includes all secondary school grades, class rank and date of graduate must be submitted prior to enrollment.

Students whose transcripts are unavailable should consult with an admissions counselor. Or, the applicant can provide a High School Equivalency Diploma, if applicable, with corresponding score sheet.

STEP 3 | Test Optional - SAT/ACT Scores

Mercy University has a test-optional (SAT/ACT) admissions policy for the majority of our freshman applicants. When applying students can select the testing plan they want to apply under.

We do have a few select programs and student groups that do require standardized tests. They include:

  • Prospective Athletes (SAT/ACT)
  • International Students (TOEFL/IELTS)

You may still share with us your SAT or ACT scores though they are not required for admission for other programs.

STEP 4 | Supporting Documents

Students are also able to submit any supporting documents that they believe will enhance their application through our student portal.

Examples of documents include:

  • Résumé
  • Letter of Recommendation
  • Personal written statement
