If your native language is not English and you fall below our TOEFL/IELTS score requirement, but you are academically qualified to study for your degree at Mercy College, you are eligible for our conditional admissions program. After the successful completion of English as a second Language (ESL) courses at one of our partner ESL schools, your TOEFL/IELTS requirement will be met. Retaking the TOEFL/IELTS exam is not required. All students are automatically considered for conditional admission.
Mercy College offers an English as a Second Language (ESL) conditional admission program through our partners, Manhattan Language and New York Language Center.
Conditional admission is simple: you can attain English proficiency at Manhattan Language or New York Language Center and then transfer to Mercy College after successful completion of an equivalent of B2 level on Common European Framework Reference (CEFR) for undergraduate and C1 level on CEFR for graduate program.
