Staff & Faculty Resources for Fall Reopening

We can’t wait to be back on campus and getting prepared for the fall semester. To get us there our teams are working hard to prepare for the upcoming fall term, and we are looking forward to seeing you back as soon as safely permitted.

We will continue to share updated information as it is confirmed.

While there are still some important details to be worked out, in the coming weeks additional town halls will be scheduled to communicate updated information. We will also be communicating with students and families at separate Town Halls and during orientation.

Please take a look below and visit the pages in this section for additional information on the fall reopening.

Employee Return to Campus

Employees will be made aware of individual target dates for return-to-campus via a phased-in process beginning in late July.

In most cases, employees will initially return in a staggered manner to lessen density. Remote work will continue for some.

Vice presidents and managers will communicate phased return-to-campus dates, changes to accommodate social distancing and reduced density, and procedures for all employees.

Office Spaces

Teams are actively working on campus to add safety measures in office spaces that contain multiple employees. Managers will communicate any changes to work areas and a return-to-work guide will be released offering additional guidance prior to employee return.

Contact Tracing

A team of Mercy contact tracers is being trained to monitor and communicate with confirmed cases and contacts on campus in order to collaborate with and supplement local and regional health authorities. Confidentiality will be maintained.

Visitor/Travel Policy

Minimal outside visitors will be permitted on campus and employee work travel will be limited.
