Dr. Amanda Gunning Speaking on Equity and Access to STEM

On November 5, 2019, Dr. Cynthia T Walley and Ms. Abby Hirsch from the SSBS Counseling Department hosted Counselors Advocating for STEM (CAS) is a professional development workshop for K-12 school counselors in Westchester and Bronx area. The workshop panelist and speakers increased the knowledge, skills, and practice of school counselors to expose, inform, and motivate underrepresented and female students regarding STEM opportunities and participation.

On April 21, 2020 Dr. Amanda Gunning and Dr. Elena Nitecki of the School of Education were invited to speak at the video workshop "Discussion with Mercy Leaders: Homeschooling with STEM" . Below is a summary of their STEM site suggestions:
