STARTALK Program

Join us this summer at Mercy for the STARTALK Program. This federally funded program is free of charge for students grades 6  - 8* from all language and cultural backgrounds to learn Korean language and culture. 

Join us August 2 - August 20 for synchronous online class from 8:50 a.m. - 12:40 p.m. as well as daily asynchronous work. 

*Current 5th graders entering 6th grade for the fall are eligible.

Who Should Apply?

Students from all different language and cultural backgrounds who are interested in learning the Korean language and culture.

Students must be in grades 6 - 8  (5th graders entering 6th grade are eligible)

Students who are at the beginning/novice level of the Korean language.

STARTALK is a national project funded  by the National Security Agency (NSA). STARTALK's mission is to increase the number of US citizens learning, speaking and teaching critical-need languages, with programs nationwide for students (K-16) and teachers.
