Mercy College has earned a spot in The Wall Street Journal / Times Higher Education (WSJ/THE) 2022 College Rankings for the third year in a row. This recognition in the Northeast Region category reaffirms Mercy as a leader in offering a high-quality education that leads to successful outcomes.

The WSJ/THE College Rankings evaluates more than 800 U.S. colleges and universities to determine their education impact and lifetime benefit to students. Rankings are based on 15 key indicators that assess colleges in four areas: outcomes, resources, engagement and environment.

“Mercy College has long upheld an unwavering commitment to motivated students seeking an opportunity to transform their lives through higher education,” said Adam Castro, Vice President for Enrollment Management. “This latest ranking adds to the body of evidence that the College continues to offer programs and support services that ensure our students receive a high-quality, challenging education in a vibrant and diverse learning environment. What makes Mercy College special is the continual dedication on the part of our faculty and staff to provide students with a strong foundation for academic and professional success.”

The latest ranking by the WSJ/THE reflects the positive momentum that Mercy has sustained for more than a decade. In 2020, the College’s PACT Program was recognized by Excelencia in Education, and Mercy was named Westchester Magazine’s Best College in 2019 and 2020. In recent years, Mercy has been ranked a “Top School for Veteran Education and Support Services,” included among the top 100 “Total Master’s Degree Schools for Hispanics,” earned a place on Diverse magazine’s list for conferring the most degrees to African American and Hispanic students and recognized in U.S. News & World Report’s rankings of undergraduate nursing programs, social mobility and best regional university.
