Social and Behavioral Sciences Dean Karol Dean, and Mental Health Counseling Associate Professor Mark Sirkin recently presented at the American Psychological Association (APA) convention in Denver.

Dean participated in the “Campus Sexual Assault – Past, Present and Future” symposium. Her talk was titled “Administrators in the Middle: What We Need for the Future.” The talk focused on how administrators can improve collaboration across campus and community silos in order to be effective, bringing the best of what each area has to offer in addressing the critical problem of college and university campus sexual assault.

Dean was also elected the Treasurer for the Society for Psychology of Women (Division 35 of the American Psychological Association) at the convention.

At the convention, Sirkin also presented his talk titled: “What Price Leadership? Neuroscience, Social Motives, and Evolutionary Psychology.”
