On September 20, 2019 Mercy College School of Health and Natural Sciences nursing and exercise science students who were unable to attend the massive youth-led New York City Climate Strike showed support for those marching with Dr. Adrienne Wald, associate professor of nursing and member of the Alliance of Nurses for Healthy Environments, and Dr. Mary Allison Murphy, assistant professor, exercise science.

Recognizing the science behind climate change, Mercy College nursing and health professional students are working to advocate for safe and healthy environments and environmental justice.
