Mercy College Professor Dr. Rossi Hassad was interviewed on Bronxnet.  In the interview Hassad discusses the recent outbreak of the Zika virus, how it is transmitted and its treatments. 

According to Hassad, risk of infection the New York City area is "low to zero."  He goes on to add: "We do not have the mosquito to transmit the virus." Assuring that listeners, he said all cases in New York City are travel related and warns of some hot spots for active transmissions: Brazil, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and Guyana.
