It used to be “beep beep beep” the slight noise you would hear while on hold here at Mercy College – but the days of tones are done.  The College has recently rolled out a new on-hold message to the phone system. The beeps are gone!

Now when you’re put on hold with anyone in Mercy College you’ll hear the audio of the College’s brand video. The message calls “all strivers, seekers and dream chasers to see what a difference Mercy College can make.” It calls on those who endeavor to do better and who are not afraid to fly to bring their desire, passion and hunger for a better life to Mercy College and find their place among the other Mavericks that call the College home.

The change was made so that the College is reaffirming the mission at every turn.  “It’s an opportunity to share our message,” said Director of Marketing and Public Relations Catherine Cioffi. “We’re showing the energy and passion of the College, while also entertaining people on hold.”

The message will play on a loop automatically when placing a call on hold, so you can try it out today and hear all about what makes Mercy College stand out.  Only thing is – don’t try it while on a conference call – or all the participants will hear, “Calling all strivers…”
