The Greater New York Wipro Science Education Fellowship team, headed by Drs. Meghan Marrero and Amanda Gunning, hosted the Wipro Cross-Site Conference at Mercy College on May 19 and May 20, 2017.  Joining Mercy were the other sites at University of Massachusetts, Boston; Montclair State University and University of North Texas, at Dallas.  There were 100 participants including K-12 teacher fellows, faculty and grant administration.

 

Highlights of the conference include:

 

* Research Presentations by Mercy’s K-12 teacher fellows

* Poster Presentations by teacher fellows in NY, NJ and MA

* Keynote speaker and workshop:  Cheryl Williams on Five Types of Leadership

* Welcome to team from new Wipro SEF site, University of North Texas, at Dallas

 

Dr. Arthur Eisenkraft, of University of Massachusetts, Boston, used the occasion to announce a new round of funding from Wipro Ltd., which will give the Mercy College site an additional $300,000 to support NY Wipro Fellows in their continued science education initiatives and leadership in their district.
