Application Deadline for Mercy College Study Abroad
For participation in the Fall semester: April 1st
For participation in the Spring semester: November 1st

Please note that applicants may be required to apply for a tourist or student visa to travel to the program destination. Applicants are advised to consult with the Director of International Students.

Note: In order to graduate, a student must meet all Mercy College degree requirements. It is the student’s responsibility to make sure the "Academic Approval Form" is be completed as accurately as possible and signed by the department advisor and chair. Without these signatures, there can be no guarantee that the student will receive credit toward his/her degree. Graduating seniors should also note that course availability at the universities overseas cannot be guaranteed. Therefore, if necessary, every student must return to his/her home campus for one or more additional semesters following their study abroad in order to complete courses required for graduation.

Statement of Purpose. In an essay of 3-5 paragraphs, please indicate the extent to which your coursework and personal experience have prepared you to take advantage of opportunities offered by the study abroad program for which you are applying. In addition, discuss how study abroad will contribute to your future academic and career goals.
