One Login and One Password

Dear Faculty and Staff, 

At the present time, you must manage and update two distinct usernames and passwords to access the two pairs of systems below:

·         Mercy Connect and Blackboard

·         Email and Computer(s)

The Mercy College Office of Information Technology is pleased to report that it is making a major change to its systems on Wednesday June 19, 2019 and after this change is complete, Faculty & Staff will use only one username and one password to access ALL college-wide systems.Faculty & Staff will use their email (Office 365) username and password to access all systems.

As you may be aware, all Faculty & Staff are provided with an Office 365 (@mercy.edu) email account and a Google Apps Gmail (@mercymavericks.edu) account.

  • A: You can access your O365 email account by visiting https://exchange.mercy.edu or https://email.mercy.edu

  • A: If you do not know your O365 username and password, please contact Helpdesk at 914-674-7526.
  • Q: How can I change the new single username and password?
  • A: In order to change your password, you will need to enroll in the College’s password management tool.  Enrollment is a one-time process and only takes a few minutes.  Please visit Mercypass at the following link to enroll: Mercy Pass

  • A: All users will use their O365 username and password to log into campus computers.

  • A: All users will use their O365 username and password to log into Mercy Connect. To login, please type in your full Office 365 email address (example: jdoe@mercy.edu) and your Mercy Connect password.

  • A: All users will use their O365 username and password to log into Blackboard.To login, please type in your full Office 365 email address (example: jdoe@mercy.edu) and your Mercy Connect password.
  • Q: Will my email address change in Blackboard?
  • A: Yes, your email address in Blackboard will automatically change to your new O365 Account. For example, if your email is jdoe@mercymavericks.edu, it will now become jdoe@mercy.edu. All course notifications in Blackboard will be sent to your new O365 (@mercy.edu) email account.
  • Q: I am a Mercy alumnus/alumna, do I need to take any action?
  • A: No action is needed. You will continue to use your @mercymavericks.edu Gmail account. All College Alumni will continue to use their Gmail (@mercymavericks.edu) accounts.
