Welcome to Mercy College!

Our primary focus is to provide you with an enriched, transformative and educational Mercy experience. It is our mission to give you the high quality learning environment needed to prepare you for your future career. You will be introduced to many academic and student resources needed to foster the supportive learning environment for student success. This unique journey is only the beginning of a lifetime filled with continuous learning, self-discovery and reflection!

Office of Student Services

The Office of Student Services focuses on guiding students through registration, financial aid, and advising. We want to help you easily navigate administrative processes accompanying your higher education experience. The roadmap to success includes a quality academic environment combined with interactive programs and innovative facilities. Whether working with the Career Services to asses interests and skills, utilizing our highly trained faculty and peer tutors in the Center for Academic Excellence, or accessing our wide-range of book and audiovisual titles, magazine or journal subscriptions at any of the libraries at our five campus locations, we are here to provide students with the support necessary to achieve academic excellence.

Important Documents to Submit

We want to be sure you are ready to begin classes for the Fall semester which starts on Wednesday, September 9th, 2015. The following items must be completed prior to your first day of class:

  • Submit final official college transcript(s) in a sealed envelope including your final grades and graduation date
  • All students must submit proof of MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccine OR if you are an on-campus resident provide full medical record to satisfy dorm clearance process
  • Submit medical record with the meningitis vaccine OR submit the meningitis response form online
  • Complete the FAFSA online and click here
  • If selected for verification, submit verification documents which may include: parent and student W2s, parent and student IRS tax transcripts, and independent or dependent verification worksheet
  • Complete the Master Promissory Note (MPN) and Entrance Counseling online if you are accepting federal Stafford loans here
  • If eligible for the Federal Work Study (FWS) Program, submit a resume and FWS application on Career Maverick

Keeping on the Right Track

To keep you on the right track, below are a few helpful tips to guide you into the new school year:

  • Please review your class schedule on Mercy Connect via the MercyApp
  • Meet with your Student Services Mentor to review your degree audit regarding program requirements
  • Create your long term and short term academic and personal goals
  • Create a resume and upload it to Career Maverick to be prepared for internship and professional opportunities
  • Get involved! Learn about upcoming activities, trips, and important dates by checking your Mercy email account every day
