Dr. Sullivan has been Program Director of the Mercy College Occupational Therapy Assistant Program since 2005. She is a founding faculty member of the program and helped design the courses and curriculum for the first Mercy OTA class which graduated in May, 1998. Dr. Sullivan has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy from the State University of Buffalo, a Master of Science degree in Human Services: Gerontology from the College of New Rochelle and a clinical Doctorate of Occupational Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. Her clinical expertise includes occupational therapy treatment for adult and geriatric populations, and she has held several rehabilitative managerial and consulting positions. She is a past member of the Roster of Accrediting Evaluators for the accrediting body of all occupational therapy programs in the US (ACOTE®). Dr. Sullivan has presented on both the national and state levels at many occupational therapy conferences on the topics of undergraduate occupational therapy education and clinical care of adults and the elderly. Her most recent work is completion of a book chapter for the 2nd edition of Occupational Therapy Essentials for Clinical Competence, by K. Jacobs & N. MacRae, which was published in 2013. Dr. Sullivan is at work now on a revision of her chapter for the 3rd edition of the book which is scheduled for release in 2016.
