Dr. Donna F. Bookin is an Assistant Professor and Program Director for Legal Studies in the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences. In 1992, Dr. Bookin began teaching as an adjunct professor in the Mercy College Paralegal Studies Certificate Program housed at the White Plains campus. Dr. Bookin was the Director of the Certificate Program from 2000-2008. Dr. Bookin holds a BA degree in Political Science from SUNY Albany, a MA degree in Communications from the American University and a JD degree from Hofstra Law School. Dr. Bookin is licensed to practice law in New York State and in the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Dr. Bookin is also a member of the American Association for Paralegal Education and has presented at the national and regional AAfPE conferences.
