M.F.A. Creative WritingMarc taught Dramatic Writing for the MFA Program in Creative Writing at The City College of New York since 2010. Since 2006 he taught Shakespeare, Modern & Postmodern Drama, Fiction, Playwriting, Creative Writing, and World Humanities for the undergraduate English Department, and Acting at Passaic County Community College. Member of Actors Equity and The Screen Actors Guild-AFTRA. Marc has appeared in 12 national television commercials, numerous stage productions, and played the lead in the IFP Spirit Award - nominated feature, TOO MUCH SLEEP (Shooting Gallery, 2002). Screenwriting credits include TELLING YOU (Miramax Films, 1999). His plays, all of which are published by Dramatists Play Service and all of which premiered in NYC, include LEVITTOWN (NY Times Critic's Pick), THE GROUNDLING, CARL THE SECOND and POOR FELLAS. His collection of plays for Middle School students, S(COOL) DAYS is published by Brooklyn Publishers. He has directed plays for the stage, the short film Sonnet 138 for The Sonnet Project & Shakespeare's Globe Viewer, and the webseries THE THING (www.theplayis.com). He has published twice in Fiction Magazine, multiple Smith & Kraus and Applause Books Anthologies. Marc attended Wake Forest University on a baseball scholarship after being drafted by The Toronto Blue Jays in the 1989 Major League Baseball Amateur Draft, and graduated 2nd in All-time wins in 1994.
He considers the Speech and Voice classes he took as an undergrad as just about the most important things he ever did, besides raising his two kids, which is an ongoing project.
