Carolyn Cullen

Dr. Cullen is an Assistant Professor in the Counseling Department at Mercy University where she has been teaching since 2008.  Since 1993, she has worked in community agencies, mental health clinics, and solo practice in New York City and Westchester County promoting resilience in adults, children, adolescents, and families.  She has specialized training and interest in trauma, addictions, mindfulness, and integrative approaches to psychotherapy.    Her teaching philosophy is based on collaborative and empowerment approaches that challenge students to use curiosity and learning to build their knowledge base, skills, and attitudes to become successful professional counselors.
