Transfer Students

One out of every five students transferred to Mercy.

We have the transfer credit process down to a science, so you can transfer quickly and smoothly and stay on track toward your college degree.

Getting an education at Mercy College means opportunity and growth — not crippling debt. We maintain one of the lowest tuition rates of any private college in New York State, meaning our students graduate with 35 percent less debt than the national average.

Mercy College Transfer Credit Max

We make sure every credit transfers

We know how important it is to have your credits transfer over and be applied toward your specific program. We’ve created Transfer Credit Max so you can get a customized idea at how we can apply your credits and help you to see how quickly you can finish your degree at Mercy.

Once you are accepted, the Transfer Team in our Student Services Support Center (SSSC) will carefully evaluate your college transcripts, test scores and other documents for equivalent transfer credits.

How do transfer credits work?

Mercy College accepts the credits you've already earned at your previous institution and applies them to your bachelor's degree at Mercy.

We can accept up to 75 credits from a two-year school and 90 credits from a four-year school.
