Interim Provost Peter West

A Message from the Provost

Welcome to the Office of the Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs at Mercy College.

Mercy College offers over 90 undergraduate and graduate degree and certificate programs taught by faculty across five different schools: Business, Education, Health & Natural Sciences, Liberal Arts, and Social & Behavioral Sciences. Guided by our mission as a student-oriented institution, these programs are designed to help our students develop the skills, knowledge, and experience they will need for a wide variety of professions and careers. Even more importantly, our curriculum prepares students for lifelong learning—so that graduates of Mercy College will embark on their professional careers ready to face the challenges of an ever-changing world.

In addition to the academic programs offered through our five Schools, Academic Affairs includes a devoted staff of administrative professionals who work collaboratively with our faculty and support offices across Mercy College to help our students realize their academic and professional goals.

I invite you to explore our programs and other resources—our majors, minors, graduate degree programs, libraries, and more—to learn about the academic opportunities that make Mercy College such an exciting place to learn. And I hope you take the time to visit our locations in the Bronx, Manhattan, and the main campus in Dobbs Ferry, where you will be able to appreciate the mission of Mercy College in action. Finally, I hope that when you make it to our Dobbs Ferry campus you stop by on the second floor of Verrazzano Hall to say hello to the Provost Office team.
