The 2025-26 academic year marks a major milestone in Mercy University's journey – our 75th Anniversary! Throughout the year, we’ll be celebrating in style with a series of special events for students, faculty, staff, alumni and our surrounding communities.
These celebrations will honor our rich history, recognize the achievements that have shaped who we are and look ahead to the bold aspirations guiding our future. Join us as we celebrate 75 years of impact, progress, and possibility.
Mercy Moments
In honor of Mercy’s 75th anniversary, we’re proud to share a newly reimagined version of the alma mater that honors Mercy’s history while looking ahead to the future. Created through a collaboration within the Music Production and Recording Arts program, the project was led by Sam Stauff, Associate Director of Music Studios, and brought together faculty, staff, students and alumni.
September 2025: Founders’ Festival: 75th Anniversary Kick-off Event
September 20, was a day filled with fun — food trucks, giveaways, games and inflatables, live music, live band karaoke and the dedication ceremony for our new commemorative campus clock. Plus, an amazing drone show finale, where hundreds of drones will lit up the sky over the Hudson River!
October 2025: Maverick Coin Quest
Starting October 1, it was game on for students, faculty and staff! All month, they searched to find hidden 75th Anniversary coins across Mercy’s three campuses hoping to collect all five coins and win the grand prize.
November 2025: Wellness Day
The School of Nursing hosted a Wellness Day for the Mercy community, focused on providing holistic wellness. Activities included meditation, yoga, massage/reflexology, exercise/stretching, among others.
