Who is eligible to apply to the Summer Leadership Academy?

The Academy is designed for current High School Juniors (rising Seniors). 

What are the criteria for acceptance?

Students should have a cumulative, weighted GPA of 90 or above. Students must have a passion for public speaking, as well as careers in business. Finally, students must also show demonstrated leadership in extra-curricular activities.

What happens after a student is nominated?

Nominated students are sent a link via email to apply online.

What happens after a student applies?

Our Leadership Team reviews students' applications. Students are contacted via email to confirm their acceptance status. It is important each student include an updated email address on their application and check it regularly. 

When is the deadline to apply?

We have not set a final deadline to apply. We are accepting students on a rolling basis. As spots are limited, we encourage students to apply at their earliest convenience. 

What will students learn during the Summer Leadership Academy?

Students participate in active learning lessons led by faculty and leaders from top companies. Topics include: Career Mindset, Four Leadership Archetypes, Personal Branding, Careers in Finance, Careers in Accounting and Careers in Marketing.

When is the Summer Leadership Academy?

We offer three sessions for students to choose from: June 21 - 27, July 5 - 11 or July 19 - 25. Tri-state students are often still in school during session one. Students should refer to their district calendar to confirm when the school year ends. 

Where is the Summer Leadership Academy Located?

The majority of the Academy events take place at our Westchester Campus located in Dobbs Ferry, NY. Students also spend a day visiting our Manhattan Campus and Fortune 500 companies. 

Is there a fee to attend the Summer Leadership Academy?

Tuition and board are provided to students for free. A fee of $300 is required to cover the cost of food and activities.

Do I live on campus during the week?

Yes, when you arrive on campus, you will be directed to Hudson Hall for check-in. Upon your check-in, you will receive all the information you need for the week and will be escorted to your residence hall.
