High School Scholars and Influencers Program

Ready to fast-track your nursing career and make a difference in your community?

Mercy University’s Nursing HSSI program is designed for Bronx high school students who want to serve the Bronx community when they graduate from college. These students are driven and want to have a positive impact on health care outcomes for the people in their communities.

This specialized program offers qualified high school juniors distinct educational advantages, including:

• The opportunity to take college courses as a high school student and earn 25 credits at Mercy University.
• Guaranteed acceptance into Mercy’s nursing program.
• Graduate in 3 years with your bachelor’s degree.
• Mentoring from experienced nurses

Requirements for high school applicants:

• Applicants must have a GPA of 80%
• Write and submit an essay about why you want to be a nurse
