K. Patrick Fazioli

Dr. Fazioli is an Associate Professor in the Department of Humanities and Director of the Global Honors Program.

Dr. Fazioli's research focuses on the archaeology and history of the late antique and early medieval eastern Alpine region (c. 300-900 CE). He has conducted fieldwork in Austria, Slovenia, Sweden, Denmark, and Northern Ireland, as well as across New York State. He has published on a variety of topics including landscape archaeology, ceramic petrography, social identity, the history of archaeology and anthropology, honors education, and critical thinking. 

Dr. Fazioli teaches in the Seminars, History, and Global Honors programs. With nearly two decades of teaching experience in higher education, Dr. Fazioli is always looking for new ways to engage and motivate his students. He firmly believes that a broad liberal arts education has the potential to be a transformative and emancipatory experience, allowing students to encounter the world -- and themselves -- in exciting, challenging, and life-changing ways.
