About

Nader Sadre teaches Community, State, and Regional Politics at Mercy University, and has elsewhere taught courses on political communications, and ethics in international settings. In addition to teaching, he works on campaigns for political candidates, issue advocates, and social welfare organizations. His research interests include mobility and political identity; membership and institutional capacity; and conservative theories of political resistance.

Main goal in teaching: to give students analytical tools for evaluating political arguments, institutional decisions, and public policy claims. And to help students understand how power is expressed both within our institutions of governance and beyond.

What inspires me about teaching: helping students connect abstract ideas in political theory and ethics to real-world political practice. I enjoy watching students gain confidence in their ability to analyze institutions critically and see themselves as informed participants in civic and political life.
