Dr. Robert Thompson

Dr. Robert Thompson graduate with a Ph.D. in chemistry from UCLA in 2017 where he studied the synthesis of polymers used in plastic solar cells. Dr. Thompson was hired as a full–time faculty member at Mercy University in 2020. Dr. Thompson currently conducts research with a team of undergraduate researchers. Dr. Thompson's research focuses in the areas of organic synthetic chemistry, biocatalysis, and biochemistry. His research team closely collaborates with biologists at Weill-Cornell University studying cardiac revascularization in Zebrafish. Students interested in participating in undergraduate research are encouraged to contact Dr. Thompson to inquire about joining his team of researchers.
