Donation to Mercy’s Mav Market Puts Fresh Produce on Thanksgiving Tables

Mercy College Associate Director of Public Relations and Community Outreach thanks Phillip Grant, M.B.A. ’08, Hunts Point Produce Market CEO, for his generosity this Thanksgiving holiday.

The Mercy College community extends its gratitude to Hunts Point Produce Market – and CEO Phillip Grant, M.B.A. ’08 – for their generous donation of fresh produce to the Mav Market Bronx Campus location for the second year in a row. The donation will again provide students and their families, who may be facing food insecurity due to high inflation and other factors, with fresh produce this Thanksgiving holiday.

The Mav Market, Mercy’s community food pantry, offers wholesome foods and personal items in an inclusive and confidential environment. Community partners like the Hunts Point Produce Market are essential to the success of the Mav Market, which is committed to helping students meet their basic needs and giving them opportunity to thrive.
