Dear Adjunct Faculty Members and Lecturers,
Mercy College and the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) met on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, to continue negotiating the collective bargaining agreement between the parties.
It was another productive session, as we reached a tentative agreement on the article on Union Rights. In addition, we continued our discussions of proposals on Arbitration, Appointments and Assignments, Discipline and Discharge, No Strikes or Lockouts, and Professional Development.
We are pleased that the parties have continued to advance discussions on this initial agreement. The College and the SEIU have two additional sessions scheduled in February and March 2022 respectively, to continue these negotiations. We will provide you with regular updates on progress as this important process moves forward.
