LatinX Fiesta Brings Community Leaders and More Than 500 High School Students to Mercy's Bronx Campus

On October 11 and 13, the College celebrated its 3rd Annual Hispanic Heritage event, LatinX Fiesta, at the Bronx Campus. With 500 high school students visiting over the two days, the event featured presentations, remarks, Latin music, food and visual display of Latino success and contributions to our society. Guest speakers included Bronx Deputy Borough President Janet Peguero, New York State Assemblywomen Nathalia Fernandez representing Bronx’s 80th Assembly District, Mercy Provost Eva Fernández, Timothy Tapia, M.B.A. ’21, AT&T Regional Director and Antirson R. Ortiz, NYC director of constituent services for NYC Comptroller Brad Lander.
