The Mercy College Career and Professional Development team has always been committed to helping students and alumni launch and advance their careers.  The coronavirus (COVID-19)  situation hasn’t changed this dedication, in fact, it has strengthened the team’s efforts to ensure they are providing support to those who are facing hardships and uncertainty, including the loss, or expected loss, of jobs.  To provide support, they are working to raise awareness about current job openings, provide information on support resources and encourage community members to take advance of their career resources including resume help and interview skill tips.

“This is a difficult time for all, the loss of a job is a harsh reality for many.  And we know that despite this very tough environment, there are many opportunities opening up,” said Jill Hart Executive Director, Career and  Professional Development at Mercy College. “Our goal is to provide a service for members of the Mercy community who need it, by sharing valuable job and resource information, in a visible place, for a myriad of opportunities. At the same time, we want to promote to the Mercy community the jobs that need filling by our local health care partners, so that they may continue to provide care to anyone who needs it.  The Career and Professional Development Resources tab does just that.”
