MM campus

Mercy College has unveiled the design concepts for the new MercyManhattan expansion that is scheduled for completion of the first phase in the summer of 2019. The new 95,000 square foot campus will be updated to include enhanced academic space for students and faculty, state-of-the-art classrooms, contemporary “living room” spaces and a new dormitory slated for fall 2020.

Mercy has retained CBRE as the project manager to work closely with landlord and real estate developer SL Green, contractor Archstone, and lead design consultants Ismael Leyva Architects and MG Engineering.

“We are committed to creating a college campus of the future with state-of-the-art capabilities and learning spaces that will allow students to thrive,” said Thomas Simmonds, Vice President of Operations and Facilities at Mercy College. “This new expansion will provide a transformative experience for current and future Mercy graduates.”

The new innovative classrooms and common spaces will help facilitate collaboration, communication, critical thinking and community among students and faculty. The space will be equipped to adapt to different teaching methods that can easily provide mobility and flexibility for active learning environments.

MercyManhattan at Herald Square is the ultimate location to reach your destination and is located within a few blocks of no fewer than 15 subway lines and a short walk to Penn Station/LIRR and Grand Central/Metro-North lines. Mercy first began offering classes at the Herald Square location in 2002. In addition to MercyManhattan, the College also offers students the convenience to take courses online and at campuses located in Dobbs Ferry, the Bronx and Yorktown Heights.
