Swing Phi Swing Social Fellowship Incorporated was founded April 4, 1969 on Winston-Salem State University by 12 Dynamic Women. Who Dared To Be Different by challenging the standard normality of pledging a "Greek lettered sorority" and went against the odds and established a unique Social Fellowship. They ignited a flame that would influence thousands of other women across the country to follow in their footsteps. Over the next four decades, their pioneering spirit continues to burn in the hearts of many sisters, transcending the boundaries of geography, social class, complexion and religious affiliation. Swing is a unique, non-profit organization with a commitment to affect social change, consciously uplifting women and being on the front line in regards to community involvement. We realize that as conscious African American women, we are an integral part of our communities. We accept our responsibility as Sisters With Interest Never Gone.
