I am Dean Stuart Sidle and I welcome you to the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences. 

The faculty at the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences are dedicated to our undergraduate and graduate students because we know they will change the world!  We teach and learn from our students who are interested in Psychology, Counseling, Sociology, Social Work, Legal Studies, Political Science, Paralegal Studies, Criminal Justice and International Relations and Diplomacy.

SSBS research

Faculty & Student Research

The directed research course in the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences provides a hands-on research experience for students where students work in small groups with a faculty mentor to conduct original research on the faculty member's research project.

IHELP at Mercy University

Mercy University is here to help our students and communities succeed. The new Interdisciplinary Health Education Learning Program (IHELP) fellowship aims to expand internship opportunities that provide services for children, adolescents, and transitional-aged youth who are at risk for behavioral health disorders in high need and high demand areas for graduate Fellows in Mercy's School Counseling, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Occupational Therapy programs.
