Mercy College accepts a maximum of 75 credits from two-year colleges and 90 credits from four-year colleges and universities. Our Transfer Team will facilitate your transition to Mercy College, showing you exactly how your transfer credits apply to your intended major and a PACT Mentor will assist in mapping our a semester by semester plan through graduation.
Admission to the Mercy College Honors Program is competitive and by invitation only. Qualified entering transfer students may be nominated or selected during the Mercy College application process. Nomination is based on high academic achievement, leadership and community service. Letters of invitation are offered following acceptance to Mercy College.
Transfer students bringing between 30 and 89 credits must transfer 20% of those credits from equivalent honors courses to be eligible for the program. Students transferring less than 30 credits are not required to transfer honors credits in order to be eligible. (Transfer students bringing 90 credits are not eligible for admission to the Honors program). The College will accept up to 18 honors transfer credits towards the Honors program for honors courses completed with an earned grade of B or above at another institution provided the courses have been identified as equivalent to Mercy courses in an articulation agreement or have been evaluated by an Honors faculty member and deemed equivalent.
